Baptisms
Arranging a Baptism As Parents, it is your faith that carries your child to the baptismal font. It is the Parents and God-Parents who make the baptismal promises for the child. It is a promise made before God and the gathered Church.
Baptisms are celebrated every Saturday at 4.30pm and every Sunday at 1 pm.
Baptisms must be booked at least one month in advance. Please bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate with you when booking.
If you live outside the Parish of New Ross, you must get a Letter of Permission from your Parish Priest to have your child baptised in the Parish Church before the booking can be accepted.
A priest of the parish will contact you a few days prior to the Baptism and arrange a suitable time to meet with you.
